This incredible car showroom was purpose-built by Enville Oak at the homeowner’s property to house vehicles and entertain guests.
For this build, Enville Oak supplied chunky oak beam framing and large expanses of glass to create this unique extension to the home.
The project put access and security at the heart of the design and construction, with bespoke solutions produced to deliver upon the client’s requirements while maintaining the authenticity of the oak building.
Custom Solutions Were Sought…
Square Oak Frame
A 240mm square oak frame was used to house the glazing and provide the structure for this unique room.
The substantial use of oak promotes a secure and impressive front to showcase the vehicles inside.
Direct Glazing Technique
We used a direct glazing technique, which accounts for the movement and shrinkage that will occur while the oak dries over time.
Direct glazing involves the glazing being mounted within or onto the outer face of the oak frame.
Bespoke Oversized French Doors
Non-standard French doors were specially constructed to allow for cars to enter and exit the showroom.
These French doors were tailor-made and handcrafted by Enville Oak using solid oak.
Snooker Corner
This showroom further doubles up as a recreational room, incorporating a full-size snooker table within the space.
This private and well-thought-out build is great for hosting and entertaining guests.
Upstairs Gallery
An upstairs gallery was also factored into the design, allowing for views onto the showroom below as well as out through the glazing.
Enville Oak was able to account for this in the construction of the extension, providing an upstairs gallery which is home to the games room.
