Porch

A porch is the perfect way to add character to your house – which is exactly what our client was looking to achieve when they approached Enville Oak for their bespoke oak porch.

The modern porch we achieved for our client demonstrates how oak can be incorporated into private homes for a simple yet effective refurbishment, adding character and dimension to the face of the property.

For this porch, our team utilised chunky oak posts, secured with discreet oak studwork, to ensure the oak porch made a great impact as the first impression to the home.

Bespoke Oak Porch Features...

The Enville Oak team conducted a site survey and measurement to ensure we could construct the porch to perfectly frame the client’s door, maintaining enough depth within the structure to provide shelter for the home owners and guests as they come and go.

Our bespoke oak porch is made up of the following features for a unique architectural piece, completely to our client’s taste.

Open porch

An open porch was achieved by Enville Oak to shelter the entryway to our client’s property.

The porch utilises a traditional oak framework with open sides; the simple design was created not to detract from the face of the home, but to work in conjunction with it.

Pitched roof

The pitched roof achieved on this porch is complete with composite slate roof tiles.

The pitch roof runs in parallel with the roof of the main property for an effective and complementary design, which is continued with the slate roof tiles, designed to draw out the darker tones of the property’s brick and door.

Dwarf brick wall

The oak porch rests on a dwarf wall, which features the same brickwork as the existing property for a natural-looking extension of the front of this home.

The wall is crowned with stone capping for a clean finish before transitioning into the oak structure.

Oak boarding

Oak boarding on the inside of the pitched roof completes this build, ensuring that the underside of the porch is consistently finished to the high quality expected by the client.
