A traditional garden room which truly makes the most of the outdoor views with floor to ceiling glass panels.
This construction of this garden room closely follows the brief the client set Enville Oak when approaching us for a traditional oak frame which would extend the living area of their existing property. Their brief highlighted a clear passion for timber frame, and requested expanses of glass panels on all elevations of the structure.
Whilst undertaking this project, it was important that our team provided an energy intelligent construction which would allow the client maximum comfort and energy efficiency whilst achieving the glass panelling requested.
Oak Frame Garden Room

The final result was this beautiful large glass garden room which offers usability and practicality throughout the seasons.
The oak frame stands prominent and complements the existing oak porch of the main property, whilst the floor to ceiling glass panels provide uninterrupted views of the scenery.
Direct glazed panels
The glass garden room features dramatic floor to ceiling direct glazed glass panels. The upgraded solar control glass Enville Oak used ensures the garden room stays cool in summer, and is double glazed to retain heat in the winter.
Electric Velux roof lights
Enville Oak utilised a warm deck roof construction method whilst insulating the roof for greater thermal protection. With this method, insulation and plasterboard is top side whilst exposing oak rafters for a beautiful and authentic finished appearance from the underside.
Warm deck roof
The electric Velux roof lights installed on this build were essential due to the inaccessible position of the roof lights on this tall structure. However, by utilising solar power for the electrical function of the roof lights, we maintained our energy efficient focus.
Staffordshire blue clay roof tiles
Staffordshire blue clay roof tiles were laid to be in keeping with the surrounding area, helping this garden room feel like a natural extension of the property.
Aluminium bi-folding door
A modern aluminium anthracite grey four-door bi-folding door provides a large entryway to the surrounding garden.
