Hipped Roof Garage

This hipped roof garage by Enville Oak is a striking example of how a truly traditional look can be achieved with hand carved oak.

Our client was in need of a car port and a workshop combined, but it was essential that this structure was in keeping with the existing 150-year-old oak framed house.

With our deep understanding of working with oak and established level of craftsmanship, Enville Oak was brought in for the construction of a hipped roof garage which would remain true to the origins of the property.

The oak garage features...

Our construction resulted in the following – an authentic and high quality build which centres around the beauty and value of oak.

Despite its aesthetics, the garage remains a practical build, compartmentalised for differing access and security needs.

The garage features a large open car port, with enough space for two vehicles, and a secured workshop to the side.

Concrete tiled hipped roof

The red concrete tiled hipped roof, installed with a complete drainage system, finalises the warm and traditional aesthetic of the garage, whilst achieving complete durability in all weather conditions.

Handmade roof finial

The handmade decorative roof finial positioned at the top of the hipped roof is a lovely touch and focal point of the garage; the finial is reminiscent of the rural heritage of the property.

Oak garage

The large open car port and garage space includes oak posts, oak eaves beams, oak sole plates, oak studwork and oak rafters, together forming the intricate solid frame. All elements were hand crafted by Enville Oak at our premises and installed by our expert team.

Oak garage door set

The workshop attached to the garage is secured with a matching oak door set, offering security whilst remaining in keeping with the architectural design of the structure.

Workshop

The dedicated workshop to the side of the garage has a personnel oak cottage door for ease of access. It is also fit with an oak casement window to allow light and fresh air to enter the workshop.
