For the creation of this two storey extension, Enville Oak provided the bespoke oak framework on a supply basis.
Our client was looking for an oak extension which would be in character with their existing property. The extension would incorporate a ground floor entertainment room and a first-floor bedroom.
It was essential that our team worked to the exact specifications and drawings provided by the client in order for our framework to meet the client’s needs and facilitate as successful and stress-free an installation process as possible. After an in-depth consultation and a site visit undertaken by our expert team, Enville Oak began a precise fabrication process at our site premises.
The finishing touches...
To ensure a smooth and straight forward installation process, the bespoke framework was sent to site in kit form, ready for erection.
Once erected, this stunning extension was finished by our client with slate roof tiles and ambient spotlight lighting, setting the tone for their inviting and luxurious home extension.
Pitched roof
The pitched roof on this build runs parallel to the existing property for a natural-looking extension of the home. The roof is finished with oak fascia around the gable end to complete the cladding and provide a durable seal against the British weather.
Two storey extension with featheredge cladding
The external of the building to the first floor was finished with close boarded featheredge cladding and studwork to form a secure wall with clean and contemporary lines.
The close featheredge cladding is thermal efficient with weatherproof performance, whilst building upon the traditional appearance of oak with a stylish twist.
Internal sling braces and purlins
Enville Oak incorporated two internal feature oak sling braces and purlins to the first floor, which are visible from inside the client’s bedroom, adding endless character and charm to the space.
Direct glazed windows
The hand crafted framework allowed for direct glazed glass windows and a door set for immediate access from the extension to our client’s outside space. The glass windows perfectly balance the heavy cladding above, opening up the building and providing balance to the structure.
